The Dorothy Pattinson Award

Completely Hydraulic Sponsors Local Soccer Team

There are many companies who sponsor all kinds of things and Completely Hydraulic are another. It’s not surprising to see their distinctive bright yellow and black combination logo in anything from racing bikes to Playstation video game vehicles.

The one thing that they are really proud of in the most recent months is the creation of the Dorothy Pattinson Award for young footballers in the soccer team they sponsor.

The club they sponsor is called the Thurrock Tigers where they cater for 9 – 17 year olds. The unique thing about the club is they do not exclude any children who wish to play football.

Club coach, Daren Partridge, who is also a figure head in the Completely Hydraulic empire said ” We don’t turn people away, we have all abilities in the team and that includes children who have autism or even brittle bone disease, everyone is welcome.”

The Dorothy Pattinson Award

The Dorothy Pattinson Award was created in honour of the CEO, Jason Pattinson’s late mother. ┬áJason said “It’s a real honour and I know my mum will be looking down with a big proud smile on her face.”

The proud recipient of the award, Bridget Allen, pictured above with head coach, Sherman Telford, is the only girl footballer at the club and she won because she consistently shows commitment, passion, dedication, fairness and sportsmanship every time she steps foot on the field.

The fund in the award scheme also has an added bonus as it contributes to the helping families to pay club fees too.

All in all the clubs ethos is quite simple. It’s not about winning its about enjoying the game.
